I am board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Lincoln Memorial University, 2014), and a Master of Science in Nursing (Lincoln Memorial University, 2019). I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management services for ages 18 and up to patients from all backgrounds and cultures. Prior to joining River Valley Health, formerly Cherokee Health Systems, I worked for Peninsula Behavioral Hospital for 5 years as a psychiatric nurse. While working for Peninsula, I helped manage patients who struggled with mental health and substance abuse issues. I have experience working with a variety of diagnoses, particularly bipolar spectrum disorders, depression, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, trauma, developmental, and personality disorders. I enjoy working with therapists, case managers, and primary care providers to support patients’ needs using an integrative healthcare approach. During my appointments with patients, my goal is to focus on the whole person and not just the illness or disease. When I am not seeing patients, I enjoy playing with my dog, Remi, and my two cats, Neyland and Peyton. I love watching football, outdoor activities, reading, researching, and baking.
