LeaAnna Spurling (she/her) is a licensed master social worker in the State of Tennessee. She received her undergraduate education from East Tennessee State University in public health/psychology and received her graduate education and training in social work from the College of Social Work at University of Tennessee in Knoxville. For the past four years, she has been practicing psychotherapy in the community mental health outpatient setting and has previous experience working in residential and in-home settings as well. LeaAnna takes a holistic, person-in-environment, and strengths-based approach to working with her clients, meeting them where they are and walking alongside them as they accomplish their individualized goals. During her sessions with clients, LeaAnna uses evidence-based practices to help her clients address their presenting concerns. Her primary goal is to create and foster a safe environment for optimal support within the therapeutic relationship. And, just as LeaAnna encourages her clients to outreach their supports, she often utilizes the support and collaboration of her Team to ensure the best therapeutic alliance for those with whom she works. She enjoys working with pre-teens, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate life transitions and daily stressors. Outside the office, LeaAnna enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending local music shows and movies, and is always in search for her next outdoor adventure.
