Amy Gentry is a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner covering River Valley Health, formerly Cherokee Health Systems, rural clinics to provide psychiatric medication management services to patients ages 17 and older. 

 

Amy received her Masters of Science in Nursing from ETSU and her undergraduate BSN from Tennessee Wesleyan University. 

 

Amy is a part of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, American Psychiatric Nurses Association member, ANCC: Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing RN-BC, Carecuts Inc Board of Directors, and ANCC: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner NP-BC.

 

Amy has widespread experience in behavioral health services, correctional nursing, inpatient care, and substance abuse treatments.  Prior to joining the River Valley Health team, Amy played an active role at North Carolina Department of Corrections, and Peninsula Behavioral Health Hospital.

 

Amy’s passion continues to grow to aid those suffering from behavioral health disorders and substance abuse. When Amy is not seeing patients, she enjoys all things outdoors and traveling.
