Certifications: Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center). BLS, Dementia Friendly, MOCA certified. Member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and Tennessee Nurse Practitioner Association. I have worked with River Valley Health (RVH), formerly Cherokee Health Systems, for almost 10 years. I presently work full time as a family nurse practitioner with RVH in a rural area of East Tennessee. I previously worked in a specialty unit at Lakeway Regional Hospital as a registered nurse for almost 8 years. I was born and raised in rural East Tennessee, which is where I presently reside and work. I am most passionate about my patients and truly building a relationship that allows them to be comfortable to come to me about any needs they have. I am married and have one daughter who is 14 years old, and I have a German Shepherd, Bella. Outside of work, I enjoy family time and doing anything that allows me to be outdoors. I enjoy running and playing the piano, which I play for our local church.
